In the News: Gore spoke at a Technology, Entertainment, and Design conference; he is concerned that climate change is being ignored by the presidential candidates and spoke of pushing climate change to the top of the candidates' agendas. Scott Armstrong, the University of Pennsylvania marketing professor who publicly challenged Al Gore to a $10,000 bet over global warming last June, will speak in New York and has expressed interest in debating with Gore. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released a report stating that climate change has no relation with the increasing number of hurricanes in the United States. How will Gore respond to this crushing blow?
