No, this is not a post talking about how everyone's favorite, Al Gore, has been putting on weight. I'm here to talk about the global food crisis and the recent bread riots that have been plaguing developing countries. With food prices gone through the roof, there is one man who has been forced forward to take the blame.
Al Gore has received huge amounts of flak for his pushes to be more "green" and eco-friendly by use of alternative fuels, such as E85 Ethanol, which is made of corn, due to the fact that the use of corn potentially keeps food out of the mouths of starving families, since demand is driven up, and prices are driven up, as well.
Additionally, guys, keep your eyes peeled! Gore has been dropping subtle hints that there might be a sequel to the large hit "An Inconvenient Truth" in the future!

It is really sad how our determination to help the environment has caused us to greatly hurt thousands or even millions of people worldwide. Regarding alternative fuels, I do not think that the benefits are worth the costs. But will the United States keep using corn etc. for alternative fuel? It will be interesting to see if Gore will offer some advice to this grave problem in his new movie or even before that.
