Truly, when one thinks about political figures that inspire people to be calm and not get in an uproar about hot topic issues on one side or another, former Vice President Al Gore is not one of the people that comes to mind.
However, in this day and age of cut-throat competition between the Obama camp and the Clinton camp of the Democratic party, everyone's favorite ex-vicepresident Al Gore is working as hard as he can to ensure that there is a sense of unity and peace within the Democratic party. While it may come as a surprise to us that he's involving himself in party politics, after his "loss" in 2000, it's possibly more surprising that he's not choosing sides within the race at all.
So far, Gore's plan is to remain on the "sidelines" to keep things honest within the heated race.
